Fraud protection rules

If required, you can block payments from certain individuals or places automatically in your Gift Up checkout. 

Head over to your Checkout Protection Settings page, and add a rule:

Blocking orders from certain locations

To block all gift card orders from overseas, just do this:

Every order request has been resolved to a specific continent where the user's device is located. This could be one of:

• Africa
• Antarctica
• Asia
• Europe
• North America
• South America
• Oceania

Blocking orders from certain IP addresses

You can be even more specific, and block a particular IP address for the user. 

Blocking orders with a specific email address

If you have a known fraudster or user whom you do not with to accept orders from any more, you can add their email address to the block list:

When an order matches one or more of your rules, we will decline the transaction during checkout.
