Setting simple sale prices (or give away more gift card balance)

When you set up an item for sale you enter a name and a price to charge your customers. By default, the price and balance we'll issue on the gift card are tied together, but you can untie it by clicking the padlock between the price and balance fields and entering a different balance or price in either direction: 

1) Setting a simple discount

Here's an example where we're selling a $50 gift card for $40.

2) Giving away extra credit

Here's a similar example, but we're offering it as a $50 gift card with an additional $10 credit added on top. In the example below, we've taken the liberty of adding a checkout description to explain the extra credit to clarify things for the purchaser.
